Most recovery centers are sterile and dry. RECO Health does things a bit differently. They like to stand out, try new ideas, and experiment with different ways to get people to feel connected and supported.

As their fractional design team, we’ve been responsible for building our a new visual language for each of their treatment centers: RECO Island, RECO Immersive, RECO Intensive, and RECO Institute, as well as their parent company RECO Health.

Our main goal: give people who are looking for help a way to see a path back to the lives they want to live.

Unifying four programs under one brand

As RECO Health expanded its offerings across detox, mental health, and sober living, its brand needed to evolve to reflect a more modern, cohesive vision. We refined the identity to align with a sophisticated new design system by simplifying the logo, updating the color palette, and introducing a flexible visual language that could unify its four distinct programs. The result is a clearer, more confident brand built to grow with RECO and its mission.

A detox center, designed for you

Our next initiative was standing up the RECO Island website. We needed to help capture what makes RECO Island so unique as a detox facility, instill trust and confidence in RECO as a brand, and help people get the care they’re looking for as quickly as possible. Visit the website here.

Mental health care that immerses you in serenity

RECO Immersive followed suit. Applying the same visual language as Island, Immersive needed to stand out as a fully engaged mental health recovery center. How can we make people feel like they’re stepping into a technically advanced sanctuary? How can we show them not only what RECO does, but why they do it, and how they know it works? Letting people know their chance is real, if they’re ready to take it

RECO Intensive was particularly challenging because the existing website had years worth of SEO efforts engrained in every page. We carefully designed the new website to maintain discoverability while bringing our visual language front and center.

Not just recovery, but a lifelong community of support

The fourth program of the ecosystem is RECO Institute, and it’s the final step before completing the recovery programs. RECO Institute is a sober-living program focused on establishing a lifelong network of support for people who are in recovery, and have gone through recovery. RECO doesn’t want to just be a program, but rather a pathway from addiction back to a life worth enjoying.

Tying it all together with RECO Health

The RECO team wanted interesting ways to bring the four programs together and demonstrate that RECO doesn’t just bring you in then send you out. When you join RECO, you join a full process that takes you from rock bottom all the way to the top, and them welcomes you to the family and extended community.

On every site, we demonstrate this continuity through interesting animated visuals and distinct sections to show the flow of care through RECO’s programs. On top of that, we created a standalone RECO Health site to give a birds eye view of what they’re all about.
