Composition Coffee

Composition coffee came to us at a time of expansion. They were about to open their own coffee roastery, in addition to their coffee shop, and needed a brand system that could house both. Their story had also evolved, so our work needed to feel true both to who they had become, and where they were heading.
Made by many
The new Composition Coffee brand symbolizes the entire coffee journey from farmer, to roaster, to brewer. Also representing earth, fire, and water, we composed the logo out of three groups of three, to communicate the idea that every cup of coffee there is “Made by Many”. From typography to patterns to icons, we created a full visual identity for the new brand.
Taking it to the web
Before working with us, Composition Coffee had a one-page website without much content or character. After redesigning the brand, we created a new website that better showcased their products, space, and brand. The goal was to showcase the purpose of the coffee shop, which was a place to gather with your friends and strangers and chat, catch up, or work over a cup of carefully crafted coffee. The perfect package
Composition Coffee was about to launch a large line of unique specialty coffee beans, so we developed a packaging design system using color to denote boldness, country of origin, and flavor notes.
